This month is the celebration of Israel’s Independence Day and the return of the Jewish people to their homeland from some 150 countries. This return is called Aliyah in Hebrew, a biblical term that means to “ascend,” because this modern return is seen as having spiritual meaning beyond the physical act of immigration. To think that thousands of years ago the Hebrew prophets foresaw God using gentiles to assist in this return is truly amazing.
