It's pretty easy to get consumed with the problems and perspectives of one gender or the other, and forget, or just not pay attention to, the things that both boys and girls are struggling with today and how they affect everyone involved.

Brooke recently had an eye-opening experience with her sons where she realized that she was only looking at half the equation. The boy-centered perspectives that have formed the lens through which she sees the world for so long were limiting her from having a true understanding of the bigger picture (and stealing her ability to have true compassion).
