A Prayer for God to Keep You

The short letter of Jude—only one page in most Bibles—packs profound truth for believers. Today's episode by Brooke McGlothlin dives into the first few verses in Jude and she remind us that those who belong to God are called, beloved, and kept.

The word “kept,” or “preserved” in the King James Version, speaks of God’s continual care and protection over His people. To “preserve” means to safeguard, protect, or maintain. Unlike our own imperfect efforts to keep things in order, God never fails to keep what belongs to Him.

Reference: Matthew 6:34

Prayer:

Father, thank you for keeping me and thank you for keeping my children. Left to myself I know I would never, left to myself I know I would never be able to stay. There's too much sin still in my heart and it's prone to wonder from you. The knowledge that you will preserve me, that you will guard me and keep me from stumbling, brings me so much peace. In Jesus' name, amen.

Today, may we ask our great God for his help. May we humbly request the help of his people. May we petition the Holy Spirit to fill us with a clear and fortified mind and will. And then open our hearts to receive.
