A Call to Pray for Others by Nicolet Bell
Jesus didn't pray about his disciples from a distance. He stopped, he saw them, and he interceded for them. That's the kind of prayer we're called to.In today's episode, we see that Jesus prays something that might surprise you — he asks the Father not to take his followers out of the world, but to guard them in it. Because the hard stuff isn't wasted. Any suffering we face can work for our good and His glory. Who has God placed in your life right now that needs you to show up for them in prayer?
Reference: John 17:8-10
Prayer: Father, let us not neglect the power of praying for those you have placed in our lives. I confess that I so often want to do something to help or to "fix" a situation. Today, I rest in the truth that prayer is my first and best response. I believe that prayer has the power to make a difference for my loved ones, but I so often neglect bringing requests for others to you. Help me today to allow my belief in the power of prayer fuel the prayers that I bring before you on behalf of those that I love. In Jesus' name, amen.

A Prayer to Receive the Father’s Discipline - Your Daily Prayer - May 16
Conviction, repentance, and discipline are all great gifts from our Father in heaven. He wants us to be honest with Him so that we can see real transformation happen in our lives, as He conforms us into the image of His Son.
