Jamie MacDonald Expands Her Record-Breaking debut Album with 'Jamie MacDonald (The Deluxe Album)' Out October 16

Following the success of her record-breaking debut album, chart-topping singer-songwriter Jamie MacDonald announces Jamie MacDonald (The Deluxe Album), out October 16 via Capitol CMG. The announcement comes alongside the release of MacDonald’s new song “Used To Be,” out today (9.25).

Jamie MacDonald (The Deluxe Album) builds on the momentum of MacDonald’s debut project (1.23), which made history with the biggest streaming debut ever for a female Christian artist and the largest debut album streaming launch in Capitol CMG history, while reaching No. 1 on Luminate’s Top Christian/Gospel Albums chart.

“This deluxe album brings together my favorite songs from my debut album, a new song you haven't heard yet, and a few reimagined versions of tracks that mean so much to me,” said MacDonald. “I've loved revisiting these in a new light, and I'm so excited for you to hear this project. I hope it meets you wherever you are and reminds you of how faithful God is.”

The upcoming deluxe edition of MacDonald’s self-titled debut album expands the original release with two never-before-heard songs and revisited and reimagined versions of standout tracks, including alternate versions of “Left It In The River” first featured on her Left It In The River [Reimagined] EP, released July 31.

With production from Danny Lopez, Kyle Williams, Patrick Smith and Josh Silverberg, Jamie MacDonald (The Deluxe Album) explores themes of doubt, heartbreak, faith and becoming someone new, while introducing new collaborations and fresh perspectives on the songs that established her as one of Christian music’s most compelling new voices. The complete track list, including a new collaboration with a GRAMMY Award-winning artist, will be revealed October 2.

Out today (9.25), “Used To Be” finds MacDonald challenging anyone who thinks they know her past to reckon with who she’s become. Written by MacDonald, Williams and 3x GRAMMY Award winner Dwan Hill and produced by Williams and Lopez, the smoky, soulful track pairs warm guitar with a story of transformation.

“‘Used to Be’ is such a personal song for me because it’s a reminder of the freedom we have in being made new in Christ,” said MacDonald. “I’m so grateful I’m not the person I used to be, and I hope this song reminds people that they’re not defined by their past either.”

In less than a year, MacDonald has amassed 2.3M monthly Spotify listeners, 322M global streams and 213M social views, while earning 2026 “Artist to Watch” honors from Spotify and Amazon Music. Her rapid rise has taken her from a record-setting debut to her national TV debut on The Kelly Clarkson Show in April, while also earning her three consecutive No. 1 singles: “Desperate,” which set a Christian radio record for the most stations spinning on impact date; “Left It In The River,” which spent 12 consecutive weeks at No. 1 across three Christian radio charts; and “Ain’t No Way,” which recently topped Billboard’s Christian Airplay chart.

MacDonald is set to perform at the 2026 GMA Dove Awards in October with four nominations to her name, including New Artist of the Year, Pop/Contemporary Album of the Year, Song of the Year and Pop/Contemporary Recorded Song of the Year.
