Gaither Music's Mike Rogers Releases New Single 'Soul on Fire' Featuring Mac Powell and The Isaacs

Gaither Music Group announces the release of “Soul on Fire,” the latest single from DOVE Award-nominated musician, singer and songwriter Mike Rogers, available today on all streaming platforms. The track offers a powerful preview of Rogers’ forthcoming self-titled album, Mike Rogers, arriving May 29, 2026 on CD and DVD.

Featuring guest vocals from Mac Powell (Third Day) and The Isaacs, “Soul on Fire” stands as one of the most dynamic moments on the project, blending Rogers’ bluegrass roots with a more contemporary gospel energy. The performance highlights the collaborative spirit that defines the album, bringing together artists who have shared the stage and studio with Rogers throughout his career.

Best known in Nashville and throughout the country, gospel and bluegrass communities for his musicianship, Rogers has spent years as a trusted presence onstage and in the studio. After launching his career as a drummer, he moved to Nashville to perform with country artist Craig Morgan before joining bluegrass legend Doyle Lawson’s Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver, where he stepped to the front of the stage playing acoustic guitar and singing lead.

In recent years, Rogers has become a member of Ricky Skaggs’ Kentucky Thunder as well as the acclaimed quartet Brothers of the Heart, alongside Jimmy Fortune, Bradley Walker and Ben Isaacs. His solo debut marks a natural next chapter, showcasing the tenor voice and interpretive depth that have long made him a standout among his peers.

Produced by award-winning artist and producer Ben Isaacs, Mike Rogers wraps Rogers’ signature sound around a collection of Gospel standards and Country favorites that have shaped his decades-long journey. The project blends reverence for tradition with a fresh, personal delivery that reflects both his roots and his range.

“‘Soul on Fire’ is one of those songs that just hits you right away,” says Rogers. “It’s got that energy, but it’s also rooted in something real. The companion DVD captures Rogers live in concert, featuring performances and collaborations with many of the artists who appear on the album, highlighting the camaraderie and musical connection that define the project.
