Bill and Gloria Gaither Celebrate a Lifetime of Songwriting With 'You Are Loved: A Tribute to the Songs of Bill & Gloria Gaither'

Gaither Music Group today releases You Are Loved: A Tribute to the Songs of Bill & Gloria Gaither, a new Homecoming collection bringing together more than 250 artists to celebrate the songs of Bill and Gloria Gaither. Available today as an audio album and full-length DVD, You Are Loved marks the first Gaither Homecoming project devoted exclusively to songs penned by the couple, whose catalog has helped shape gospel music across generations.

The release follows a red-carpet premiere Monday night at the historic Franklin Theatre in Franklin, Tennessee, where Bill and Gloria Gaither were joined by featured artists, longtime friends, and members of the music community for a screening of the full concert film.

The 17-song collection revisits some of Bill and Gloria’s most enduring compositions, including “Because He Lives,” “Something Beautiful,” “He Touched Me,” “I Am Loved,” “There’s Something About That Name” and “The King Is Coming.” Among the artists featured are the Gaither Vocal Band, The Isaacs, The Martins, David Phelps, Sandi Patty, Jason Crabb, Mark Lowry, Reggie and Ladye Love Smith, Todd Suttles, Wes Hampton, Angela Primm, Amy Perry, Shane McConnell and others.

“When Gloria and I were writing these songs, we never could have imagined that one day we would stand in a room with hundreds of friends and hear them sung back to us like this,” says Bill Gaither. “Every artist brought something of their own to these songs, and that is what makes this project so meaningful to me. The songs have traveled much farther than we ever could have taken them ourselves.”

“Songs become part of people’s lives in ways the writer can never predict. They are sung at weddings and funerals, in churches and living rooms, in moments of celebration and moments when someone simply needs hope,” says Gloria Gaither. “Hearing so many of our friends gather to sing these songs reminded me that once you release a song into the world, it no longer belongs only to you. It becomes part of the stories of the people who carry it with them.”

Released alongside the full project today is “Go Ask,” featuring Mark Lowry, Wes Hampton and Reggie Smith. Written by Bill and Gloria Gaither, the song is one of 17 performances captured for You Are Loved, with the new recording bringing together three longtime members of the Gaither family.

The album follows the advance singles “I Just Feel Like Something Good Is About to Happen,” featuring Angela Primm and Amy Perry, and “These Are They,” featuring Shane McConnell and David Phelps. The latter marked a special Homecoming return for Phelps, who became closely associated with the song during his years with the Gaither Vocal Band.

You Are Loved was captured during a one-day Homecoming taping on Sept. 16, 2025, one of Bill and Gloria Gaither’s largest Homecoming gatherings to date. More than 250 artists came together for the event, which is being released across four separate CD and DVD projects. You Are Loved is the second collection from the gathering, following I Go to the Rock, released earlier this year.

Bill and Gloria Gaither were named Songwriters of the Century by ASCAP in 2000. Across decades of writing together, their songs have traveled far beyond their own recordings, becoming part of church services, concert stages and the repertoires of artists around the world. You Are Loved brings many of those songs back into the Homecoming setting, performed by artists whose careers and lives have intersected with the Gaithers and their music.
