It's amazing the journey that God takes you on when you accept your calling in life. I've met so many unique and amazing people in my travels and hope to inspire those not only who I have met but the new people I come in contact with as well. To make a long story short about 2 years ago I was in full pursuit of a career in the music business, I had made my way up the music ladder even as far as to going into negotiations with major record labels. While doing so I worked on the side as a dancer doing bar mitzvahs, music videos, BET events and even other odd jobs to stay afloat. All along knowing and feeling like something is missing. The closer I got to getting signed the worse everything else got around me; my finances, my relationship, everything seemed to be falling apart and fast! Late one night I woke up and began to pray for everything to be fixed and the answer to my prayer was this;"Give me all of you and I'll give you everything you've been working so hard to get." A few weeks later my hand was forced and I packed my things, left Florida and went back home to Virginia. Now I had definitely hit my lowest point-- home in mom and dads house no money with just my things and my dog. A week went past and I remembered the promise God had given me. I asked my mom what she thought about me dancing again except for this time doing it for God. She immediately took to the idea and gave it a name Kenny for the King. Ever since then I haven't looked back and have no regrets. I can honestly say that I have more to show for it now than just a story about some celebrity that I met and did a show with that could care less about me and coming away with $200 here and there. I tell you NOTHING can compare to the impact or influence that you can have on someone's life and not just that but getting them to turn their life over to God and making it all about him. It's PRICELESS!!!!
A Prayer for God to Bring You Through an Exhausting Life Phase - Your Daily Prayer - May 9
I came across Habakkuk 3:19 in my attempt to refuel my sunken strength and journal out these thoughts in my morning quiet time. And what spoke to me is this…
