Destinies Lost is an artistic presentation telling a story through song, theatre and dance of one woman's journey to God's forgiveness and freedom after having an abortion. The show features original music including the Destinies Lost song.
We first meet Sarah as a grown woman and she speaks to her baby about the plan God has for that child's life. She then begins to tell the story of how her own destiny was lost beginning with childhood rejection and abandonment. Each one of Sarah's memories are then shown through dance including innocence, deception, seduction, decision, death, shame, mourning and joy. We see her tragically choose abortion while she is a young lady and then go through the process of mourning, guilt, shame and grief until she finds her forgiveness in Jesus Christ for having chosen abortion.
"The artistic presentation honoring life and bringing healing to men and women affected by abortion featuring the Yahweh Ballet and Next Generation Theatre Company was powerfully moving and healing for me, a woman who has had an abortion. It is truly a tribute to our babies and all children stolen by abortion. It provided another layer of healing by cutting through the walls I put up after my abortion, by allowing me to experience God's intimate love and desire for me through the grace and beauty of song and dance. A must see for any person touched by abortion," said Kathy Cosgrove, Rochester area coordinator for Silent No More Campaign .
