'My Savior First Of All' 1 Man Sings A Cappella Hymn - Christian Music Videos

Listen to this one man sing ‘My Savior First of All’ a cappella. He recorded all four parts and put himself side-by-side on stage in his video. Kaoma Chende’s voice would probably sound good with anybody, but it’s absolutely mesmerizing when he sings with himself! He makes this hymn come alive through his talent. Kaoma has belonged to some more ‘typical’ quartets throughout his life. You know, quartets where there are actually four different people singing? Unfortunately, the other members no longer had the time for the group. Finding local men to create a quartet with him was a challenge, so he tried singing the different parts himself. Eventually, he came across a video of someone singing harmonies with themself. Kaoma loved the idea and taught himself to edit his videos to look as if there were four of him singing. Now, Kaoma has over 18,000 subscribers on Youtube! He was clearly determined to share his gift with the world. He hopes that his voice is able to bring people closer to God. ‘My Savior First of All” was written by Fanny Crosby back in 1894. The lyrics talk about going to heaven when you die and being greeted by God, lost loved ones, and eternal heaven. This is where the name comes in. The most important part of reaching heaven is meeting ‘my savior first of all.’ “To the sweet vales of Eden they will sing my welcome home, But I long to meet my Savior first of all” Through Kaoma’s quartet with himself, he stresses the focus of both this life and afterlife: our Savior. Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. Romans 10:9-11
