Freddie Carrion Jr
Also known as Wake was born in Cleveland, Ohio where he spent much of his childhood watching his father perform. At that early age the singing that he was hearing from his dad influenced him and opened him up to the world of music.
By age of 12 Wake moved to Brandon, FL where he found many different types of people, cultures and music which made him understand that there are a lot different of music, melodies and rhythms in this world, and one of them was reggaeton.
By the age of 15 one of Wake’s friend showed him a reggaeton song, thinking nothing of it he thought that the song would boar him since he was not really into that kind of music, but something caught his ear and soon after that Wake was listening to was reggaeton, it fascinated him, though slowly the listening became an obsession.
Soon the culture that the reggaeton music portrays from sex, drugs, fame, money and self glory slowly started to sip into his way of thinking.
By then Wake started a reggaeton group with some friends and quickly found out that he had a talent to sing, but in the end the talent he was using was only for his self-glory and pleasure which led him to a depressed life and ultimately further away from God’s salvation.
It was not until his family told him about a youth service that was happening at their church that Wake started to get back into the walk with Christ, and as Wake started going more and more to church, his so called friends left him, Wake thought that this was a punishment from God. Instead he quickly found out that God was taking all distractions around him away and one Sunday morning he went to his a service at his church and a fellow preacher spoke about repenting. Wake never heard the word of God being spoken this way, he know it God that was speaking to him there he knew he had to give his pain and sinful heart to God to be cleansed it and forgiven Wake gave his heart to God and Jesus answered back.
To put it simply he was reborn in Christ.

I came across Habakkuk 3:19 in my attempt to refuel my sunken strength and journal out these thoughts in my morning quiet time. And what spoke to me is this…
