Michiana Youth Ministries, Inc. is an ecumenical, Christian ministry to youth and young adults and sponsors two age-specific programs:
L.O.G. - for senior highs (youth in grades 9-12)
C.A.S.T.L.E. - for mid highs (youth in grades 6-8)
The L.O.G. Program ( Love Of God) includes weekly meetings for Bible study and fellowship, extended camp/retreat experiences at various times throughout the year, opportunities for youth to serve on leadership teams to plan those camp/retreat experiences, as well as occasional special events: social, recreational and/or educational.
The C.A.S.T.L.E. Program ( Christ As Savior, The Lord of Everything) offers camp/retreat experiences in the summer and winter and occasional special events: social, recreational and/or educational. It is our intent to begin biweekly or weekly meetings for fun and fellowship in the near future.
Both programs include weekend retreats that are adaptations of the Roman Catholic Cursillo (pronounced cur-SEE-o) Movement which originated in Spain in 1949. Cursillo de Christiandad means "little course in Christianityâ€Â. Cursillo crossed the ocean to American Catholics in the 1950's and since that time, many different expressions of the program have been established in Protestant churches around the country. These include Walk to Emmaus, DeColoras and The Great Banquet for adults as well as Chrysalis, Deco-TEC and Awakening for youth. For more information on these programs, see our Recommended Links.
Michiana Youth Ministries, Inc. is a registered not-for-profit corporation in the state of Indiana and has been granted 501(c)(3) status by the Internal Revenue Service.
