Gary, I would like to thank you for your response. What I share and write is for the edification or the building up of the body of Christ. I use the New King James version but have most versions. The Greek word εὐαγγελίζω (Strong’s G2097) is used 55 times in the New Testament of the King James Bible. This word εὐαγγελίζω means to announce good new (evangelize). What did Jesus do to convey the truth so that transformation could take place in the lives of those ordinary people (which we call the disciples)? Jesus had to speak (He was not mute), that those after hearing, those ordinary people believed and began to follow (disciple is a learner and or follower) the Savior Jesus the Christ. Romans 10:14-15 says “How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, Who bring glad tidings of good things”. How could a Disciple (follower of Christ) disciple without using words to announce the Good News? Did not Jesus send out the Disciple to proclaim “The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand” in Matthew 10:5-15? We wave a written record of what a “Disciple” is to be. We are to proclaim the Good News (evangelize) to the entire world that means our neighbors, friends, fellow workers and family. That means everyone is to do that by word and by action in the power of the Holy Spirit. Please read the history of the woman at the well and tell me what she did after meeting Jesus? She shared the Good News (which is to evangelize) to the entire town.

Brother BB - what Bible do you read? Beyond the "Great Commission" you will be hard pressed to find a single directive "to evangelize" in the New, or Old Testament; it simply doesn't exist. Evangelism is a spiritual gift given by the Holy Spirit of God, not a mechanical sales pitch taught by men. Love (especially toward the brethren) and good deeds are the foundation and first testimony, long before we ever speak. If someone has been disciple(d) "Go...make disciples", and they have learned to follow Christ, and they are walking in His truth, love, and power, don't you suppose they WILL SHARE THE TESTIMONY THAT CHRIST HAS GIVEN THEM? Churches are filled with false teachers, teaching a doctrine that does not exist in the Bible: evangelists en mass. Disciples make disciples, God makes evangelists. If you are trying to make (coerce) evangelists, you are in the flesh, because God's word simply does not teach it; it isn't even implied. Christ and the disciples preached and taught "follow", "abide", "love", "obey", "bear fruit", "know" Christ. If we do these things, we will have a testimony and in God's power and at His leading, NOTHING will prevent us from sharing it - NOT EVEN THE THREAT OF PRISON, TORTURE, OR DEATH. Read the word, know God, and obey. Grace and peace.

Super uncool. Very discouraging to see another tired copy of something that was already done before in the secular marketplace. Not to mention the fact that this very likely infringes on copyright. Please work harder and develop your own voice. From scratch. http://shelter-ny.com/?p=99

Toni Gaudiosi Though the comments above have some validity and great points, the truth is that the one thing you can share with others is your conversion experience...any Christian can do this with friends and family. IF you are truly afraid to share your experience because you really don't understand it enough yet, then you should immediately start a New Believer Study at a local church to get a grasp on it. Peter was afraid to acknowledge himself as a follower or Jesus while John had openly confessed it in the same place. But later, once Peter was empowered to do it and he understood better what was happening he did preach to thousands and about 3000 accepted the gospel. Once you get through the New Believer class you can then look for a class for how to share your faith. "Sharing Jesus without Fear" is a great book on the subject to read also...(Used it in a course at Liberty Baptist Seminary last year) Be encouraged that there are many blessings to be found in sharing your faith...foremost is the joy and spiritual growth which comes from being obedient to whenever/whatever God is telling you (notice I said when GOD is clearly telling you to, not others) to do. This is good for football players but to average people not so much. I use to hit home runs when I played baseball, so should I carry around a baseball bat and use it on people? Don't think so. But the videos is different than anyones and entertaining too. With all the gospel channels on t.v. and churches in America it's still possible to not hear the gospel. So we must witness, it's the right thing to do. I love emailing those that spam me with the sinners prayer and why they need to be saved. I get a lot of replies. Try it.
