If I were the Devil - Paul Harvey (Warning for America)

  • 2012-03-26T14:07:14

John 3:30 " He must increase, I must decrease". We cannot serve two masters. It is either our will or the will of God.

God has given us a choice to live for Him, He doesn't make us. It is not his fault that we fail so miserably at times in service to Him. He doesn't want puppets that He controls, He wants us to love and serve Him because we want to.

Things are not the same as they were 47 years ago. Just look at the programs on TV, the filth that is being shown. Look at movies, same thing filth. Listen to the language of children and young people as well as adults. You will hear God's name being taken by small children, they say OMG, the words not abrieviation also the F-word in every other sentence. Think of how many more young people are not keeping themselves pure, how many are living together but not married. These are but a few changes, but it is not the same as it was in 1965.

The man was a prophet on this one. its 2012 and we are there. If we do nothing we will die.

John Sherer keeping your nose out is not something good if you know truth. people need the Lord and need His truth and love. We must stand for Jesus. Freedom wasen't free.

How absolutely prophetic this was of our world today!

Good point Rhonda, but what Jeff and I are trying to point out is that we know our righteousness is completely imperfect and Gods is perfect. This is the basis of salvation. The lost are not the Church. It is our responsibility to make more sheep. You seem to assume that when people realize the depth and breadth of God's forgiveness, that they will sin--I know that to be the opposite in my life. I cannot speak for another man's heart. John the Baptist warned to Jews in particular b/c they believed that they could save themselves by their works--that they could earn salvation, just like the foolish Galations. No one is saying that man will not sin. All I'm saying is it is much more difficult to resist the devil and his wiles w/out the knowledge of the love and grace of our Father. The Bible says we can resist the devil and win the lost ONLY through Christ--not the act of our resistance. In fact not through any act of our own.

Many say "Where IS God?" The answer is 'He is right here waiting for the nation to repent and turn back to Him....THEN He CAN heal the land as He promises. You're right Marilyn....We MUST stand up and be heard as Christians and stop letting unrighteous people walk all over us. Lord...forgive our years of silence.

I figured out a really cool trick... I create God in my own image! I decide what I want to believe in and then use the bible and the word of the LORD to justify it. Flawless! AMERICA free yourselves and turn back to GOD. Do this and it will be impossible to fail! : )

The people of this country need to turn to the Lord Jesus Christ, we need to pray for our company!

Colin Jackson I am sorry to say that it has changed very much since then. I have been in this world almost 78 years, and right now I would say that our country is in the worst shape it has ever been with every type of evil running rampant with everyone doing his own thing. I truly believe it began with prayer being removed from the School and government buildings that things began to go South, as the expression says. We all need to be on our knees daily asking God to speak to the hearts of those who are insistent on doing their own thing, without any help from God, and those who also think we need to keep on killing babies because there are too many people in the world, and a whole rash of things that those who do not follow God seem to think are perfectly okay. Yes, there were major problems then, but it has become so much worse. I weep daily for all of us, especially those who are not ready to face their Creator, Almighty God.

I agree with what you've written, but John the Baptist warned his people that they should choose the straight and narrow path, and he admonished those who were self righteous in their own sin. Judging one another is not the same as admonishment. We should love our enemies, and seek to win others to Christ. But beware of those who would tell us we are perfect in our Godliness. Only by grace are we saved. Satan will use the flesh to complete his works also. Satan challenged Jesus's trust and devotion to our Father when they were in the desert. He didn't tempt Jesus with sex, or drugs, or money because Satan knows what to tempt each of us with. Sex, drugs, money, and all manner of worldly things can be a temptation by Satan that will lead to death. Jesus was about to face crucifixion as a sacrifice to the world to complete our Father's plan. Satan knew fleshly temptations would be like trying to tempt a Lion with a mole. All I'm trying to say is, temptations are a part of what we fight in this world. Sin is sin. Those kind of sins can steal your soul as easily as any other.

Colin Jackson, No, our culture has fallen much further than it had in 1965. In 1965 we didn't have AIDS, as Paul Harvey prophetically said "diseases of which there are no cure". We didn't have the persistent, never ending, push to remove God from schools, public buildings and our Congress. In 1965 out of wedlock pregnancy was still a shameful thing. In 1965 America didn't have legal abortion, home grown Islamic terror, 53% divorce rate, or ADHD/ADD over medicated kids. We didn't have 3/4 of our children being raised in daycare, or by themselves, and we didn't have a fraction of the gang activity we have now. In 1965 we didn't have a drug war on our southern border, and we had around 500 thousand illegal immigrants, compared to 12 million today. We didn't have world leaders, and our own President passing legislation that destroys freedom of religion by requiring Churches to violate their religious and moral conscience. It's clear our world has grown more and more immoral.

I was almost four years old when he said this. Today I am fifty and see all these things taking place. Ok all of you who are saved by God's wonderous grace if you don't see the end of times according to the book of Revelation it's time to read it again.May God have mercy one us all.

If we are on such a spiral, why are things still the same 47 years later? Seems more like it is a "place", not somewhere we are going.
