I see your point Ron! and Stacey's! Just put them together and you have the perfect answer. We need to work! We are the ones God has chosen to preach his gospel across the nations! May every ear hear the Good news! Praise your holy name Jesus!

Great discussion, and I agree with you Blake on all your points. My frame of reference is in coming from a church and seeing other churches that seem so afraid that the world's ways will rub off on them that they build walls of exclusivity around themselve and very rarely if ever venture out from those walls. Or perhaps they are fearfull that those who have the greatest needs will require great amouts of their time and treasure with little to offer in return. The world is hurting, both for Jesus and in physical ways, Christ wants us to offer help for both. I am no different than then most, I find it difficult to offer help to those who need it most, for the very reason I stated above, but through a closer walk with my Savior I'm getting better. Thanks Blake.

I love this song...Yes give me Jesus!

I hear ya! I think what they are saying is that we shouldn't get caught up in this world. The values especially of such things as materials, fame, and idols. We should be caught up in Jesus. As long as we're focusing on Jesus. Stay focused on Him!

I'm Sorry but the video shows a band playing in the world to the world. there must be money and time spent in its making, there would be royalties paid and collected, so what is the difference with any other band? the band members are all well dressed and are playing new and nice instruments with good strings and nice shoes all purchased in the world. our Great God has blessed us with his kingdom on earth and through the power of the cross we are cleansed, a gift freely given as we have our personal walk with Jesus, Is this song really about Jesus or is it about the World? I think non Christians would have a problem deciding!

Stacy Hagerty WE are feeding the hungry and housing the homeless with our shelters here and only some of our churches are helping out, people come in off the street, who is there to help them in our small towns, SHOULD be the CHURCHEs!! Sterling, IL has Two churches that do, but food pantries, 2 shelters.

Hey folks, I think you are totally missing what is being said here. Give me Jesus and not the world is exactly what a real Christian should be striving for, more of Him and less of me is how John the baptist put it. Why is it some people distort the truth to bring others down or to attack? Ah yes, just as God uses people as vessel's to do His will we also have those that do the will of the devil, even christians are used for the devils schemes and do not realize it. Read and reread the love chapter in 1st Corinthians 13 and you will learn that in order to be a real follower of Christ you must exhibit LOVE! "He that says he loves God but hates his brother is a liar and has no part with God". Do not try and make something here that is false just to satisfy your sinful nature but look for the truth and you will indeed be set free. Take this world, (as I do not belong to it I am just passing through and do not want to live like I am part of it!) and give me Jesus,(as I long to live as my Lord did and by the example He gave me). It is simple people, do not complacate the message, Jesus say's, "unless you become as one of these,(speaking of little children) you will not enter in the Kingdom, or Heaven. Think, think

God love you, If you are not where you belong, you had better move toward the light away from the dark. We are all exactly where we belong because with God's good grace and His respect for your free will, this is where you have put yourself. I love the sentiment, I know the feeling, and I've been doing something about it for about half my 62 years of life. The more you do about it the more you'll feel like you are right where you belong. It may not be the most comfortable situation but you will be empowered to do more about it than ever before. You will stop trying so desperately to save yourself and be able to help others be saved. Keep up the good work and God bless you all.

Mr. McCord, I agree with what you've said regarding the word "where I'm belong" that we are here to do God's work. but if you have time, I would ask you to watch Jason's video talking about the heart behind this song and maybe this might make the meaning of the song a little different. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l3oOA22x9q8
