Iraqi Orphan With No Hands Wows X Factor Audience Singing Imagine

Having lost our dear son (at the age of 25) we thank God for his testimony and the legacy he has left behind of a life which was lived entirely dedicated to Christ. The impact he had on so many makes us grateful to the Lord. The pain is deep but our HOPE is greater. I pray this young man Emmanuel will find the Saviour we love and serve and that the gift of this voice will be used to the glory of God.

Agree with you Ron - just wish he had been singing inspirational words instead of these senseless lyrics by Lennon. Praying this young man will find the Lord in his life and use his amazing gift for God's glory alone.

TOTALLY agree with you Manuel - he has such an amazing story and what a gift from God in that incredibly moving voice - how wonderful it would be if he was using this gift for the Lord.

I imagine, that those who are so heavenly minded and no earthly good, bless and not curse, Love and not condemn. Hold one another up in prayer...

Look, I am a Christian and I actually respect what he is doing tremendously. I just want the rest of the Christians of the world to stop being so cuddly all the time. Dont say he has a great voice because he doesnt. Instead, praise him for his attitude. And yes, the Bible says make a joyful noise to HIM, not to Godtube. If its not good, its not good. period. And we dont even know if he is Christian. I doubt it because the song he chose is about as anti-Bible as they come. I have a Christian friend that was recently paralyzed from the waist down from diving into a lake. Do you know what he said getting into the ambulance? He asked the EMT's if they knew Jesus. Amazing kid. Hes only 17 yrs old. His name is Cameron Horner and he actually has a real talent. But hey, lets praise this guy who cant sing.

We all have something to give back to God. Emmanuel is using his voice. His mother used her compassion. God is there always even when we don't see him.

God's grace is what came to mind as I listened. No, the song wasn't a "christian" song but the story behind the singer and his mom moved me. I pray that this young man does begin to sing songs that honor God. Yet can anyone who knows the Lord not see God's grace. "While we were yet sinners Christ died for us".

I agree with Dan. The whole focus should have been on the great mother who adopted 2 orphans and raised them up (Humanitarian). Still nothing about the Lord. I hope they are saved. God bless.

Dear Joanne and family. My sincere sympathy in the loss of your beautiful daughter. I believe with every breath of my being that she is in the arms of Jesus and you will be reunited as a family someday. I also believe, as scripture tells us, that our Heavenly Father holds every one of your tears in a bottle as He holds you in the palm of His hand during this tender time. I was deeply moved by Emmanuel's story, voice and obvious optimism despite his challenges, but also was surprised that a song about "no Heaven or hell would be on my God Tube!!

By the way, one of the Beatles most famous quotes is their statement that they have become... "more popular than God."

  • 2011-09-01T13:51:10

Far from a "Christian song!"

I agree. What an atrocity for this song to be honored on God-Tube. Where are the editors, here? For those of you who do not know, the Beatles were among the first and most influential bands to become outspoken against Christianity and to promote an underlying form of Satanism, which is "living only for today", or in other words, just doing "what makes you happy". You hear it so much from so many artists today... "just be you and have fun doing it"... "you do you, I'll do me"... etc. This is NOT a Christian song... it is blatantly anti-Christian. I also agree that his voice wasn't all that great. I do applaud him for his achievement. It is amazing that he has gotten that far and is using his God-given talents... But, as others here, I do pray that he will come to use them for the glory of God. It is a sad thing for Christians to accept and applaud anti-Christian entertainment purely out of an emotional, soul-level response to someone's disadvantaged situation. I do not believe God is pleased with such things.

Agree, Joanne, my husband passed away 3 years ago. KNOWING there IS a heaven and JESUS IS the Only Way is what gets me through each day with my 5 kids. If anyone really listens to this song ... its not very Christian ... imagine there's no Heaven??? How are all the people going live life in peace when they want to imagine away the Prince of Peace?? I totally dislike this song ... He has an AMAZING voice but he needs to find the Truth to sing about that will Honor God, Who gave him his voice.
