If you take the Word of God seriously, obey and apply it to your daily walk with Him then its the Word of God.

The writings of the Apostle Paul attest to the diety of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, by the words found in Romans 1: 18 -20; "For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness, and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, (19); because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. (20); For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clealy seen being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead so that they are without excuse." Man may deny Him, but they cannot rid themselves of Him for He has made it that even the worst of all the sinners in this world will know Him.

And John 1:1

There is no question on the Old Testament as the word of God. We must not throw out Johns view that there is a Living Word which is Jesus himself. Jesus returned in Spirit form which is to us the Holy Spirit. He is still the living Word of God. G E Ladd said 'the bible is the word of God, written in the words of men in history." The living word is the daily voice of Jesus speaking to us. We need both to be mature. Jh.10:27

I would have liked to have heard the verses quoted rather than just paraphrases of what Jesus said. Other than that it is a great message, an important message.

Rev. Schlegel, thank you for sharing your heart about the authoritativeness of God's Word. It's neat to see how this is confirmed in so many different ways. On another note, would you happen to have a brother by the name of Travis? Our company recently sent him some information pertaining to a training class my boss was presenting in Nevada. I just thought that your last name was quite unique and that there might be a possibility you two would be related.

Of course it is. We humans are born with spirituality, we live in a very complicated, designed and structured world, and there is an outstanding book which says the Creator God demands mankind to listen to Him. The content of this Book is too superb to ignore. Any truth-seeking, honest human beings who read the Bible would admit its truthfulness. Those who have read the Bible and reject it are those who choose to stay in one's own sinful lifestyle that God rejects. No exception.
