Unbelievable! Wish I could have see the whole show. What were the other songs on the show? Was it a theme?

I didn't see it until now. I'm happy that they sang a praise to God and they all looked happy singing this song. Its positive lyrics to our young sociaty which many of them don't know God or have heard of God. I incourage all parents to introduce there children to the Christian Godly music. Caus alot of time kids are bing raised with all this other garbage of lyrics which just brings a bad message to our children. Praise the Lord, Is time we pray harder for this nation to realize that God should be always the center of our Life and of this nation.

I agree with Marianne - the non believers take statements such as Eric's & use it as an excuse not to pursue a personal relationship with the Lord. It is indeed a profound achievement of some one in the American Idol network to have them glorify the Lord on PRIME TIME television to millions of of Americans .....& who knows what went on behind closed doors? Many were most likely humbled that day & gave 2nd thought to who was the real idol.

Wow! American Idol, I have a newfound respect for your show. Maybe now, more people wil start allowing Jesus into their lives and our nation will start to heal.

Jesus called all to Him.... beggars, prostitutes, anyone who would listen to His message. I grew up in the 50's and 60's and was in a group called the New Hope Singers through my Church. We went around singing and praising God even in the Ghettos and Bars. We were taught that it did not matter how you were dressed on the outside but that what was in your heart and soul that mattered to God. These that are singing may dress like the world but that does not matter as long as their hearts and souls are pure and they believe what they are singing.

Cristina Salido maybe because the producers told them to do so!!

Whether or not 'they meant it' is not for us to judge. Only an individual and Christ Himself know the true integrity and placement of their heart in the 'relationship' they have (or don't have). I agree that what needs to not be focused on here is what they are wearing or whether certain individuals believe what they sang, but we should focus on is the fact that this was national television and millions of people witnessed it! God was glorified in that preformance...just listen to the response from the audience. I think it is safe to say that it touched many people, and if only one person was brought to Christ it was more than worth it...amen?

Praise God! I wasn't focused on the cloths or skin I was moved by the exhaulting music and words.

  • 2012-02-02T14:35:46

why would they do it if they didn't mean it? kinda silly question : /

  • 2012-02-02T14:29:52

Wow! That was amazing! GOD being glorified on national secular TV......glorious!

  • 2012-02-02T14:17:29

I understand what you are saying to be true. Modesty, is something you dont see much of anymore, but consider the provider of this entertainmnet, secular TV. What I chose to focus on was the fact that millions of people watched this believers and non alike. Im sure it drew alot of attention, maybe made some think. Overall, they werent dressed that terribly. I see kids from our Bible believing church dressing similarily.Didnt Jesus say "Come as you are" ? Whats on the outside can be fixed, its what needs saving on the inside that should get first priority. The rest comes with time and understanding. I wish that things werent the way they are today in society, but they are. Our job is to show the love of Christ and draw others too him by the love we show. One of the biggest mistakes we can make as believers is to judge too harshly those who have not heard the Good News. We dont want to scare them away.
