I agree with many people having wrong perceptions of Catholics but how can Mary intercede your prayer when she's past away and only Jesus is the true advocate and intercessor? It's just a question that I've always been curious about. Asking in love and a follower of Jesus.

Umm. Mary is dead and with Jesus like the rest of the followers of Jesus who past. I believe we all do have angels but you can't base scripture on Mary being a ghost with people. We just need to pray for the enemy to lift the blinders up and for God to show her the truth.

I love this quote! <3 Thank you.

“There are not one hundred people in the United States who hate The Catholic Church, but there are millions who hate what they wrongly perceive the Catholic Church to be.” ― Fulton J. Sheen

The bottom line is we are to share all of Gods glory no matter what the faith. The more we share the wonders of Jesus the more who may follow. Skeptics may deny, God said they would, but no matter what others think we must always share the wonders of God.

First, I think this is absolutely amazing. Beautiful even. Secondly, let's not make a huge deal out of the mother saying it was Mary. Be it Mary, a guardian angel or Christ himself what does it matter? She WASN'T giving Mary credit for her daughter's healing. She just stated what she believes. If that gives her comfort then just leave it alone. The Catholic faith is so misunderstood by other denominations. Instead of believing what you've been told about the Catholic faith, read up on Catholicism. Let's start with the belief that we pray to Mary. btw, I was raised Southern Baptist. I consider myself Christian above all else. Not looking for a debate, but wanted to put the mother's comment into perspective.

I try to tell people the same thing. (I'm Catholic) They still we worship her. It's the way people get brainwashed, we can do a thousand things right, and one wrong, and that wrong is bigger than all the rights. =|

She wasn't giving Mary praise. She's obviously Catholic. We Catholics, btw I was raised Southern Baptist, believe Mary to be sacred because she bore our Savior Jesus Christ. She said yes. Now from a mother's perspective Mary was watching over her child. Be it Mary, an angel or Christ himself what does it matter? If it gives her comfort let it be. Being brought up Baptist I was taught what Baptists believed what the Catholics believe. We DO NOT pray to Mary. We ask for intercessions. Like me talking to my grandma in heaven. I know we can go straight to God himself and we don't need anyone to interceed for us. I just get really edgy when people critisize another's belief's.

Um yeah, Mary is Jesus' mother. This mother's faith is obviously Catholic. I was raised Baptist and became Catholic. So I'm aware of what other denominations think they know about the Catholic faith. I'm not trying to debate here, just respect this mother in her beliefs. Catholics don't pray to Mary, they ask for intercession. It's like when I talk to my grandma in heaven. If you look at it that way it's a little easier to understand.

I know what you mean. I lost my faith over a decade ago. I've spent the last six years reclaiming my faith. Happy to report: SUCCESS! You will succeed, too.

I don't know what it is but it comforted the family and I praise God that Erin is healed. Attributing it to Mary is just disturbing to me.
