The Godly Truth About Bikinis - FINALLY Someone Gets It!

I really liked these swimsuits, and I'm not Christian! I'm a very self conscious person who isn't brave enough to flaunt all her skin. So, I looked her up and boy is she's not charging $100 a swimsuit! She's insane! I do perfectly well in girl's swim trunks and a bikini top under a tank top, and it cost me way less than that. I feel that there's no definition to "Godly wear." I feel that it should be based upon what you feel in your heart when you put something on. If you just like what you're wearing and have the confidence to do so, by all means, go for it. If you do it to draw the attention of pervy dudes, then well, that's your prerogative but even I don't think that's very classy of you. I do agree that children's bathing suits are becoming a bit questionable. When I was a kid, I wore a one piece, I don't think I've seen any since then...then again, I don't swim much because my pale skin is prone to bad burns and I get sun poisoning easily. Nowadays you can find less skimpy bathing suits in stores already, mainly because of self conscious people, but still available to the public. If you feel you want to cover up, you have cheaper means of doing so. And if you don't, well that's fine too. And it goes for both men and women. Men are quite capable of wearing longer trunks and t-shirts. If fact my self conscious male friends do so. Modesty goes for both genders. And if you want to get technical, these swimsuits are still more revealing than they used to be. Women used to have bloomers down to their ankles. It's all about perspective. Some people are just more open minded than others. Here's her site for reference.

A beautiful woman is wonderful. She is not to be disrespected by revealing all for the world to see. The Bible teaches A lady should dress modestly. I believe this. NO, she doesn't have to wear a Berka, like the muslim women do. However, good taste is wonderful. I feel uncomfortable when ladies are running around with less than my imagination can take. I think a beautiful woman is to be admired as much for her feeling of self worth and outward beauty. Every man knows the female is a beautiful work of art designed by God himself. To be loved, to be cherished , to be adorned modestly to show respect for God, herself, her family and friends and show some mystery! An exciting movie never gives up the end scene in the trailer! I love to see a beautifully dressed lady, she is truly a beautiful Gift from God.

Aaron Brown, you should check your history a bit more, my friend. The Bible was not assembled by a committee of Catholic priests, but was mainly gathered and accepted as a 'canon' in the 2nd century.

Tim Buckle No..many of those society's rape children...God put clothes made of lamb's skin on Adam and Eve after sin entered the world. God does care that we are covered up. He tells us to be modest.

Wayne Holden ...all I know is how God dressed Adam and Eve after sin entered into the world in Genesis...they put on fig leaves which covered very little, but God put aprons made of lamb skin on God does care what we wear.

So we have to dress in a way to make men not see us as objects? Once again someone is preaching to us on how to dress for men - it's no different that dressing in a sexual manner to please men than to dress modestly to change a man's opinion. I will dress how I want, when I want, and where I want. It is based if I find it cute or not. I don't think I dress provocatively, but I should be able to if it so pleases me. It is the issue of the person judging me if they don't like it, or if they see me as an "object" - not mine.

Camile Jet, from my experience, some women AND men dress provocatively because of a lack of positive parent role models, seeking love or attention however they can grasp it. They need our grace, not judgment. Once I started practicing looking past the external, I quit judging how people dressed and tried to look instead at their heart and met some wonderful people, both believers and non.
