i "dedicated" my life to Christ a few years ago w/o really knowing what that truly meant. then i went to a christian camp (camp Emanuel which btw is the best camp on earth) for the second time in june 2009 and i really learned that i have to sacrifice EVERYTHING short of the glory of God. not just the stuff i want to. then i started trying really hard to get baptized with the holy spirit(speaking in tongues) and i tried and tried but the doubt in my mind was holding me back. then one of the youth leaders at church told me to stop doubting and by the next night i would get it. and thats exactly what happened. the next night at 11pm after 2 straight hours of praying i finally got it. so now im just striving to live for Jesus and make his will happen in my life.
