If you were raised in the South, you've probably had people comment on your accent a time or two. There's something distinct about the Southern accent that has a way of turning heads. Even Hollywood knows the charm of it and try to mimic it in the movies all the time. But do they get it correct?

The funny people over at It's A Southern Thing think that Hollywood exaggerates just a little too much. Just watch as they poke some fun at how this Southern accent is portrayed on the big screen.

After watching a couple of these scenes, I have to say that I agree. I don't think we sound like that. What about you? Do you have a Southern accent or can you tell when you meet someone from the South?
