2 Sisters Sing 'You Raise Me Up' Duet

Nothing raises us up quite as much as singing our praises to He who is the highest. Watch as these two sisters sing a duet to 'You Raise Me Up.' At just 16 years old, aspiring singer, Lucy Thomas, is already captivating listeners, audiences, and even professional singers with her incredible voice. After her semi-finalist performance on the 2018 season of the British version of 'The Voice Kids,' Lucy was quickly offered a record deal with 'Cavendish Records'. Since then, Lucy has released two albums, 'Premiere' and 'Encore.' In this music video, Lucy is joined by her sister, Martha, as they sing a duet to the popular Christian song, 'You Raise Me Up.' The two sisters' voices have a pure and beautiful quality to them that works well together and bring a new layer to the song. The song was originally released in 2002 by Norwegian-Irish musical duo, 'Secret Garden,' and has been covered by many Christian musicians since, most recognizably of which is probably Josh Groban. I am strong, when I am on your shoulders You raise me up to more than I can be The two sisters stand facing one another in a recording as they perform this duo, singing verses with each other as a photo montage shows us the wonderful photos of the two of them sharing memories of them holding hands and playing with one another. The two give us not only a beautiful song but a look inside the loving bond that only siblings can share. At two and a half minutes, the two voices raise in unison, and it’s truly magical. Additionally, this song reminds us that although things will get difficult and at times confusing, we can trust that God will give us the strength to overcome anything. "Thou hast thrust sore at me that I might fall: but the Lord helped me. The Lord is my strength and song, and is become my salvation." Psalm 118:13-14
