The talented students of the Briarcrest OneVoice Choir performs a stunning a cappella rendition of ‘It Is Well With My Soul.’

For years, this song has touched hearts all around the world for it’s powerful lyrics and testament of God’s strength and grace.

"When peace like a river, attendeth my way,
When sorrows like sea billows roll
Whatever my lot, thou hast taught me to say

With my soul
It is well, it is well with my soul"

'It Is Well With My Soul' was written by Horatio Spafford and composed by Philip Bliss. After Horatio lost all four of his daughters, he wrote down these words as a testament of how God is with us through the good times and the bad.

Today, Briarcrest OneVoice is putting their own, unique spin on this hymn and it’s absolutely incredible. There’s something about hearing this iconic gospel song performed a cappella that truly gives it an entirely new meaning.

"Though Satan should buffet, though trials should come,
Let this blest assurance control,
That Christ has regarded my helpless estate,
And hath shed His own blood for my soul"

It’s hard to believe that these high school students can pull off a performance like this, but they completely blew me away. No wonder they have appeared on stages all around the world and continue to reach new ears every single day.

It is such a blessing to hear the younger generation lead praise to our Lord and I hope that they will continue to use their gifts for His glory.
