Golden Retriever Surprised With Puppy Of His Very Own

We can learn a few things from dogs, especially how to be genuine and accepting. At least that’s the story behind a golden retriever being surprised with a puppy of his very own. By now, you’ve probably seen the video where a dog named Walker gets a baby brother but the reason for getting a puppy is even sweeter than you think.

Walker actually has a sister named Willow. The pair were inseparable and had a special bond. Sadly, because of a custody agreement, Willow goes to her mom’s house for a few weeks at a time. When Willow left for the first time, Walker was inconsolable.

His heart would break and he didn’t understand why Willow would be gone for weeks at a time. His mom said, “When Willow leaves for two weeks at a time, he’s devastated, he’s crushed.” She added, “We decided to get him another dog because he is so lost without Willow.”

Thankfully Walker’s parents had extra room in their lives for one more dog. They knew he needed a full time friend so decided he needed a brother to love on him when Willow has to go away. So, they surprised Walker with his own baby brother, Waylon.

His parents aren’t sure if he understands that his baby brother will always be by his side, but Walker doesn’t care. He’s just so happy to have a playmate. His mom said, “He was so gentle the first few weeks but now that Waylon has doubled in size, he’s a little less cautious with him.”

But that just means ‘roof’ housing with his brother is becoming his favorite pastime. He adores his little brother and looks forward to tug-of-war matches, cuddling, and lounging on the couch with his new best friend by his side.

Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 “Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up.”
