2 Sisters Sing 'The Prayer' Duet From Andrea Bocelli And Celine Dion

Feel the chills as this sister duo shares a moving performance of ‘The Prayer.’

David Foster, Carole Bayer Sager, Alberto Testa and Tony Renis originally wrote this iconic song in 1999. The song was written in both English and Italian for artists Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli to sing solo, respectively. Later, the two superstars came together for an incredible duet of this beautiful song that received rave reviews.

“Let the children engender the rain
As the river runs through fields
Forever subsiding their pain
Prayer”

Today, sisters Lucy Thomas and Martha Thomas are putting their own spin on this touching song with a stunning duet. You may recognize Lucy as a semi-finalist on "The Voice Kids" in 2018. This 17-year-old vocalist’s unique sound impressed the judges and made quite the splash with viewers.

Since that time, she’s released two albums and continues to cover popular songs and inspiring originals. Now, she’s teaming up with her sister for this beautiful duet that is sure to tug at every heartstring.

As you listen to this duo sing the powerful words of ‘The Prayer,’ you are sure to get goosebumps.

One viewer said, “The best duet ever!!!!!!!!!!!! Chills from the beginning and frozen solid in awe by this phenomenal performance!!!!!! Thanks Martha and Lucy for this true masterpiece.’

Another wrote, “Another breathtaking song from the sisters Lucy and Martha Thomas that just leaves audience speechless. No other words to praise, the prayer says it all.”

What a blessing to hear these two sisters come together and use their God-given talents in such a special way.

I am definitely looking forward to their next performance.
