Heartwarming Moment Deaf Baby Hears Mom's Voice For The First Time

Be blessed by one very heartwarming moment when a deaf baby hears his mom’s voice for the first time!

Brought to you by medical miracles, the YouTube video catches the initial happy responses of one little guy and his ecstatic momma when he experiences sound for the very first time.

Many have witnessed the wonder of an individual putting on glasses for the first time. Many have observed the surprise of sight-challenged folks as blurring visions become clear and drab colors brighten.

Not as many have the opportunity to see the sensory delight when a child takes a step out of silence into sound. It’s a treat to see!

Dressed in a blue bow tie and suspenders, this spiffy little fellow is quite young. Mom holds him in a standing position from her chair in front of a desk. We see a teething ring or toy and a bottle placed there. And we see his bright blue hearing aid that stands out against the red hair of Mom’s precious baby!

Mom speaks a soft “hi” to her son, and he looks surprised for just a moment. By the time she finishes asking, “Can you hear Mommy?” It is obvious that he can! There are smiles and giggles that confirm it. Mom continues to speak quietly to her baby, and he responds with growing animation and excitement. It is so sweet!

While the baby is delighted to hear both Mom and himself for the first time, it is hard to imagine just how elated Mom feels. What better gift could she have gotten? As he responds to her voice, she is nearly driven to tears. She tells him that as well. It won’t be the first time!

He’s happy, and she’s happy to see it! We parents just want happiness for our kids, and this kiddo’s life just got so much sweeter! These two might be doing a lot of chatting in the days ahead. There is catching up to do!

“For this people’s heart has become calloused; they hardly hear with their ears, and they have closed their eyes. Otherwise, they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts and turn, and I would heal them.’” Matthew 13:15
