A contestant on Britain’s Got Talent turned in a breathtaking performance of an Oscar-nominated song from the film “The Greatest Showman.”

Shows like American Idol, The Voice, America’s Got Talent and Britain’s Got Talent give those who may not have been heard, a voice, literally. People who dream of delighting audiences with their talent and passion, but may have lacked the right connections, have an opportunity to do so now. Those shows are based on merit and talent. The best of the best move on and eventually win out.

One young man, Travis George, who has a ton of talent, showed off his massive voice once again in the finale of Britain’s Got Talent. His song of choice for his latest appearance on the program: “This is Me.” 

As a clip posted on YouTube clearly shows, Travis absolutely knocks it out of the park! His operatic voice is perfect for the song from the popular 2017 film starring Hugh Jackman. 

However, while his voice sounds terrific, it’s clear that Travis is a bit nervous, which is understandable for such a massive occasion that has so much riding on it.

In the opening moments of the performance, Travis appears unsure of what to do. But as the song continues, he seems to settle down and become much more comfortable. 

At around the 1:20-minute mark of the clip, Travis begins gesticulating, adding emotion and feeling to the beautiful lyrics. Then at the 2-minute mark, he really and fully hits his stride. He reaches back and lets his voice go, reaching and holding high notes. 

His inspired, Broadway-level performance brings the house down. At the conclusion of his performance, the entire room, including the judges, show their appreciation for the young man’s dazzling performance with a standing ovation.
