Guests Think Bride is Pranking Her Dad, Then He Joins In

A wedding and everything surrounding the big event is a joyous occasion for all involved. It is a time when two people, who love one another, publicly profess their love. The two become, as Matthew 19:5 says, “one flesh.”

The wedding ceremony and the following reception are where memories are made. During the ceremonial father-daughter dance, a new bride and her dad had a special moment that they and many others are sure to remember for a while.

The viral video shows the bride looking beautiful in her wedding dress, dancing with her father to “My Girl” by The Temptations. Everything is going as expected and suddenly things take an unforeseen and dramatic turn.

The music suddenly changes and instead of the soulful sound of one of The Temptations' biggest hits, Usher’s “Yeah” starts playing. The bride immediately joins in and begins dancing, leaving her father with his hands turned up and in confusion.

Many in the audience cheer and some even laugh as the young woman dances, appearing to have just played a cruel joke on her beloved father.

But do not worry, dear old dad is going to be OK!

Moments later, the father of the bride joins his daughter in a choreographed dance to the popular Usher song.

Not believing what they are seeing, the wedding guests get even louder than before. They cheer the father and the daughter on as they strut their stuff on the dance floor.

Surprisingly, both stay in sync with one another until the video ends soon after the very unexpected turn.

The video captures a hilarious moment. It also helps remind us that life is unpredictable and that we do not always have things figured out. One minute you are slow dancing to Motown and the next, you're busting a move to the latest R&B hit.

Psalms 103:13 “Like a father has compassion on his children, so Yahweh has compassion on those who fear him.”

A Prayer for When the Past Tries to Define You - Your Daily Prayer - October 15

Being created in God’s image, we have a plan and purpose for our lives (Genesis 1:27, Psalm 57:2, Jeremiah 29:11). That promise should give us hope and the confidence to step into the future, so why do we remain stuck? The answer is clear. We are in a spiritual battle.
