Southpaw - Baby Got Book (Official Music Video)

Dan Smith became a viral sensation when his parody ‘Baby Got Bible’ was viewed millions of times on the Internet. This hilarious Christian remix of Sir Mix-a-Lot’s rap hit ‘Baby Got Back’ gives this song a whole new makeover. Just listen to how he changes the lyrics to talk about The Bible.

‘I like big Bibles and I can not lie
You Christian brothers can't deny
That when a girl walks in with a KJV
And a book mark in Proverbs
You get stoked’

Smith released the original version of this song over 10 years ago. In just the first year alone, the video was watched over 26 million times. Even though a decade has passed, this funny parody still remains relevant today.

‘She's quick to resist temptation
And she loves a new translation
So ladies who were lost and found
If you want the triple-six thrown down
Dial 1-800-reads-a-lot
And teach me about those Psalms
Baby got Book’

Nowadays, Smith continues to spread the word of God in his own unique way. In 2005, he helped start Momentum Christian Church in Cleveland, Ohio and which Smith describes as a “church for people who don’t like church.” This hilarious storyteller continues to make faith-centered videos and speak all across the nation. I remember watching this viral video the very first time and it’s still just as funny years later. Who else is laughing along with ‘Baby Got Bible?’ I think this is a video that will truly stand the test of time.

Today's Devotional

A Prayer to Choose Jesus - Your Daily Prayer - July 24

Open your home to Jesus. Invite him in and prepare to give him your best, but don’t leave him sitting alone. Take the time to sit at His feet and listen as He fills you with the necessary Words of Truth you need to live this life. Then make that choice over and over again. May we all choose what is right, better, and the good portion each and every day.
