Next Generation Leads Us In Worship With 'I Love To Tell The Story'

Check out this video to see some talented young people lead us in worship with the song ‘I Love To Tell The Story.'

“I love to tell the story of unseen things above, of Jesus and His glory,
Of Jesus and His love. I love to tell the story, because I know ’tis true;
It satisfies my longings as nothing else can do. I love to tell the story,
’Twill be my theme in glory, to tell the old, old story of Jesus and His love.”

What a great performance! And the harmonizing that the singers do in the song is just wonderful!

“Fantastic song and extremely well played. God bless you guys,” comments one person online after watching the video.

“Spectacular! I love your singing and music,” writes another person on YouTube.

The song ‘I Love to Tell the Story’ is a well-known hymn which was written as a poem by an English evangelist, Katherine Hankey. While recovering from an illness at the age 30, Katherine wrote a poem on the life of Christ. This poem had two sections, the first published in January 1866 and entitled The Story Wanted, the second published later that year in November under the title The Story Told.

In 1869, the hymn ‘I Love To Tell The Story' was created from stanzas in the second section of Katherine’s poem. And it was set to music composed by William G. Fischer.

We hope that you enjoyed listening to this rendition of ‘I Love To Tell The Story' today and the music was able to uplift and encourage you.

Hebrews 12:2
Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
