Lorrie Morgan's Moving Performance Of ‘A Picture Of Me (Without You)' On Larry’s Country Diner

Country music singer Lorrie Morgan gave a chilling performance of her tune “A Picture of Me (Without You)” on Larry’s Country Diner.

Musicians write and sing about a variety of topics. They may cover political issues they are passionate about or some current event or topic. But without a doubt, the most covered topic in music is love. That could be a tune about a new and exciting relationship or a deep, committed relationship where the two people have been together for decades. Sadly, plenty of songs detail the end of a relationship and the pain because of it.

In a clip posted on YouTube, Lorrie performs “A Picture of Me. (Without You)” It’s a song about a romantic relationship that has ended, and she is not handling the breakup well. In fact, the entire song is about how heartbroken she is over the relationship ending.

“Imagine a world where no music was playing
And think of a church with nobody praying
Have you ever looked up at a sky with no blue
Then you’ve seen a picture of me without you”

That opening verse certainly qualifies Lorrie’s song as a break-up tune. Who would want to experience any of those things? All of them sound terrible. Who would want to experience a world in which music was nonexistent? A sky without any shade of blue? No way!

But the worst yet has to be going into a church where prayer is not taking place. Prayer is essential for a walk and a relationship with the Almighty.

That opening verse and the entire song are heartbreaking. But it is well-written and helps to convey the deep emotional pain she must have been feeling. No one would ever want to go through any of those things.

But thankfully, there is One who provides comfort to all who are hurting and in pain. Christ is faithful, always loving and never leaves or forsakes us in our time of need.

Praise God!

Isaiah 41:10 “Have no fear, for I am with you; do not be looking about in trouble, for I am your God; I will give you strength, yes, I will be your helper; yes, my true right hand will be your support.”

A willing heart sets forth a fire to see and experience Jesus, and as we know, God will use any willingness directed toward Him to grab a child of God's attention. He will use His people and all His creation to draw us nearer to Himself.
