84-Year-Old Skydiver Has Jumped Out Of A Plane 600 Times

A woman in her 80s who loves skydiving and has completed more than 600 jumps has no plans to stop leaping from a high-flying aircraft she said during an appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show

Everyone has things that terrify them, whether they want to admit it or not. Many individuals are afraid of public speaking, fearing all those eyeballs and the judgment from others. Another common one is heights, with several people preferring to stay on the ground. Like heights, some people aren’t too keen on the idea of flying. They would rather travel by another method.

Kim Emmons Knor is not afraid of flying. But, then, the 84-year-old woman is not like most people. She enjoys jumping out of planes.

During an interview on The Jennifer Hudson Show, Kim revealed that she has leaped out of planes hundreds of times. To be exact, she has jumped 607 times!

Kim explained that her love of jumping from a plane started as a young, 6-year-old girl, following her uncle’s return from flight training in the Navy. Her uncle brought a ripped parachute home, and Kim slept in that torn parachute night after night.

She was enthralled and mesmerized by the stories her uncle told of him having to jump out of a burning plane.

“And ever since that day, I just want to jump,” Kim said. “I want to jump all the time.”
Kim added that there is one thing that she loves to do when leaping from an aircraft.

“My favorite thing is being under a canopy,” Kim said. “A freefall is fun and everything, but I love to open high so I can just drift around and watch that world down there passing by.”

The elderly daredevil has no plans to stop. She told Jennifer that she is currently on track to complete 1,000 jumps!

What a fascinating and fearless woman who has seen God’s beautiful creation many times from a unique perspective, high above the earth while falling quickly toward it.

Isaiah 41:10 “Have no fear, for I am with you; do not be looking about in trouble, for I am your God; I will give you strength, yes, I will be your helper; yes, my true right hand will be your support.”
