'The Thanksgiving Song' Bluegrass Performance From The Petersens
Originally recorded by Ben Rector in 2020, this heartfelt song is debuted on his holiday album, ‘A Ben Rector Christmas.’
“So fill your plate and fill your drink and fill this house with family
The kind of love that all these years can't wash away
'Cause the older that I get I see that life is short and bittersweet
Thank God for this Thanksgiving Day”
The Petersens are a family band from Branson, Missouri. This bluegrass ensemble has traveled all around the world sharing their musical talents, but you can normally find them at home in Branson.
For ten seasons, The Petersens have performed at the Little Opry Theatre in the Branson IMAX Entertainment Complex.
Now, they’re reminding us how much we have to be thankful for with this live performance of ‘The Thanksgiving Song.’
“Let the leftover year just wash away
'Cause we made it through, I do believe
The longest year in history
Thank God it's Thanksgiving Day”
On YouTube, the band gave a special shoutout to song creator, Ben Rector. “We have seen him live more times than we can count and when he released this song last year, we knew we wanted to cover it. Thanks for continuing to put beautiful music in the world, Ben!”
What a perfect song to sing this Thanksgiving Day!
Colossians 3:17 “And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”
