’80 for Brady’ Movie Trailer Based on True Story
Real, committed friendships can be hard to come by in life. Real friends are there through the good and the bad and are not afraid to tell you the truth, even when you may not want to hear it. If you have a person or people like that in your life, you are blessed.
One upcoming film, 80 for Brady, is about four enduring, lifelong friendships and their quest to make it to the Super Bowl.
The film, based on a true story, features a group of elderly Patriots fans who want nothing more than to get to the Super Bowl. Oh, and they also want to meet the team’s sure-to-be first-ballot Hall of Fame quarterback Tom Brady. Those are both tasks easier said than done.
The film’s trailer begins as the four friends, all wearing Patriots jerseys, settle in to watch the team do battle on the gridiron. When a photo of Tom Brady flashes on the television all the women swoon over Brady, commenting on his looks.
In the next scene, we hear one of the women talking about how they are looking for a change and want to spice things up a little bit. She comes up with the idea to head to the Super Bowl. The other three women are less-than-receptive to the idea.
One of the women in the group states that “the Super Bowl is no place for 4 old women.”
A few scenes later, the women are in the city where that year’s Super Bowl is being held. Their only problem now is actually securing tickets to the big game.
The rest of the trailer features scenes of the wild and crazy situations the women get themselves trying to get tickets for the big game.
Big-name Hollywood actresses pepper the film's cast. Sally Field, Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin and Rita Moreno all star in 80 for Brady.
80 for Brady is rated PG-13 for brief strong language, some drug content and suggestive references, according to IMDB. It opens in theaters on February 3.
The four legendary actresses recently sat down to talk about their new film and the work that goes into and even the hurt that sometimes comes with friendship.
Philippians 2:3 “Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem the other better than themselves.”
