'His Only Son' Angel Studios Official Movie Trailer

‘His Only Son’ featured by Angel Studios, releases the official movie trailer surrounding the life of patriarch Abraham.

Based on the most controversial scripture of the Bible and the events that unfolded when the Lord gave Abraham the ultimate test by commanding him to sacrifice his only son, Isaac. The story of Abraham follows the Bible when God visits Abraham and promises to make Abraham’s descendants into a great nation.

God also promises to give him and his wife, Sarah a son. As their journey unfolds, they wander in the desert for several decades when Sarah loses all hope of conceiving a child in her older years. Desperate to give Abraham a son, she gives her maid Hager to her husband in hopes of starting a family that way. Yet, Sarah eventually conceives and gives birth to Isaac, who becomes their most prized and precious relationship in life.

God then tests Abraham’s obedience and requires that he take his only son Isaac to Mount Moriah and offer him as a sacrifice. This Biblical story has challenged many Christ followers who questioned why God would require Abraham to sacrifice his son.

‘His Only Son’ explores the age-old question of our own personal relationship with Christ and why God would require such a sacrifice. But the underlying theme of the film is whether or not we still truly stand on our faith if God were to ask us to give everything.

His Only Son was released by the same studio that brought us The Chosen. Director David Helling followed the story of Abraham with Biblical accuracy while drawing in the viewer to question his or her own relationship with Christ. The cast for this film includes Nicolas Mouawad as Abraham, Sara Seyed, Scot Cooper, Daniel da Silva, Ottavio Taddei, Arianna White, and Alexandria Lior. Between the cast and the director, ‘His Only Son’ will offer deep Biblical insights into the story of Abraham and his task of obedience.

The film was released in March and can be viewed on most streaming platforms. May this film give you deeper insight into Abraham’s struggles and God’s testing of our faith.

"As for me, this is my covenant with you: You will be the father of many nations. No longer will you be called Abram; your name will be Abraham, for I have made you a father of many nations. I will make you very fruitful; I will make nations of you, and kings will come from you,” Genesis 17:4-6
