“But Saturday night is the loneliest night in the week

I sing the song that I sang for the memories I usually seek

Until I hear you at the door

Until you're in my arms once more

Saturday night is the loneliest night in the week”

The song is by Jule Styne and Sammy Cahn. According to Sammy Cahn, the song refers to show business people who are not working on Saturday nights, They stay in and are not out with other people, and would be missing them.

“Since you were precious in my sight, you have been honorable, and I have loved you: therefore will I give men for you, and people for your life.” - Isaiah 43:4
