A precious pup stepped in and answered the call, possibly giving the cutest high-five ever.

Dogs are some of the best creatures God ever put on Earth. They are kind, loving, dependable and loyal to a fault. Anyone who has ever spent time around a canine understands that they are man’s best friend. Show a dog kindness, love and attention, and you’ve got yourself a friend for life.

In addition to a canine’s loyalty and dependability, they’ll keep you entertained. Because of their sweet actions and intelligence, dogs will have you constantly either laughing or brushing tears away from your eyes. Even people who aren’t dog owners still love those furry, four-legged beings. What person doesn’t like dogs?

A short clip posted on social media shows a dog who knows exactly what to do, even if the youngster in the video is initially unsure and hesitant.

The video starts with a child playing when a hand, likely from the child’s mother, appears on camera. The woman, showing her hand to the child, continually says, “High five, high five.”

The youngster, whose attention is wholly focused on the hand, needs clarification on what the woman requests. But eventually, the child does get the message and begins raising and stretching out its arm to meet its mother’s hand.

However, before the child’s hand meets the mother’s, a canine hilariously and sweetly swoops in and gives the requested high five. Of course, this cute canine response elicits the mother's laugh.

Then, almost as if the dog is checking to ensure there are no hard feelings after it swooped in, the pup momentarily puts its face and nose near the youngster. It appears that the child is not bothered in the slightest.

While the mom may not have gotten a high-five from her child, I’m guessing she wasn’t too upset after getting one from her sweet and adorable pup instead.
