God's Love and Hate
If God loves us, He must also hate whatever causes us hurt... which is to say, he hates sin. Many people rely on the fact that God is love to keep them out of hell, but they don't think about what love means. No-one who harms a child wants to be judged by the child's father... likewise no-one who harms God's children through wilfull sin will be happy when their Father is the Judge of sin.
