91-Year-Old Dances The Jitterbug To 'Jailhouse Rock'
This 91-year-old woman is making headlines after dancing the jitterbug to ‘Jailhouse Rock.’ Julia Lewis is a resident at Magnolia Springs Southpointe, an assisted living facility in Indiana. Recently, Julia spent some time in the hospital and needed to go through physical therapy. After her last therapy session, she was feeling good. Actually, she was feeling amazing. That’s when she decided to show off her mobility by busting out her classic jitterbug moves. That’s when the folks at Golden Age Home Health Care took out their cameras and started to film the incredible moment. On their Facebook page, Golden Age described the impromptu dance session. Miss Julia is a long time resident, who recently returned from a hospital stay and is graduating from therapy services with Golden Age. She’s ditched the walker for her dancing shoes, and this morning she said, “You’ve got me feeling so good, I want to dance!” And she sure does know how to move! At the age of 91, Julia still has all the energy and moves to pull off an incredible jitterbug. In fact, the video has already garnered hundreds of thousands of views and the number continues to grow. But when she was asked by Good Morning America about the secret to keeping her mind and body young, Julia has some incredible words. "Music is what makes the world go round. You can be depressed, you can be sick, but you can always turn on some music and forget it." What a perfect reminder that age is nothing but a number.
