'I'm Standing On The Solid Rock' From Our Favorite Gaither Voices

Listen to many of the talented Gaither Voices sing the hymn ‘I'm Standing On The Solid Rock.'

“Through my disappointments, strife and discontentment, I cast my every care upon the Lord
No matter what obsession, pain or deep depression, I'm standing on the solid rock
I'm standing on the solid rock of ages (standing on the rock, on the rock of ages)
Safe from all the storm that rages (safe from every storm, all the storm that rages)
Rich but not from Satan's wages (rich in love, I'm rich, not from Satan's wages)
I'm standing on the solid rock”

What an upbeat hymn that makes you want to sing along! And how wonderful is it to hear all those talented voices filling up the room with beautiful praises to God. Such a marvelous sound!

Later in the song, three singers take center stage: Ben Speer, Terry Blackwood, and Wesley Pritchard. Their harmonies are great, and all of their voices sound so good when they are blended together.

The hymn ‘I'm Standing On The Solid Rock' reminds us of God’s strength and mighty power and how He is our refuge from any storm that we may face.

‘I'm Standing On The Solid Rock' was written by Harold Lane in 1977. It is one of his most popular compositions, and it was in the Top 20 Songs of the Year in 1978 by the Speers and the Florida Boys. Many artists recorded the song, and in 1978 and 1979, ‘I'm Standing On The Solid Rock' won Song of the Year – making it one of only two songs in history to win that award two years in a row.

We hope that you enjoyed listening to this hymn performed by the Gaither Voices today and it was able to bring you some encouragement!
