Parable of the Seed
This could be used as shown for offering or other transitions; or without sound while words guide vocal reading.
Insight: The parable of the seed falling into various conditions is interpreted using an example of sunflowers. They are a useful and familiar crop to people, but they are also related to the thistles in the parable. Both are in the same family of plants, and both feed birds and insects. While a part of the sermon might mention that no part of nature is actually bad, Jesus is pointing out the risks along the way to growing what is most valuable - or intentional- inside of us.
