God tests His children - Heb. 11:17-19
Hebrews 11:17-19
1. Abraham demonstrated his faith by responding in obedience when God tested him.
Genesis 22:1-12
2. Despite the difficulty of the test, Abraham loyally obeyed God’s commands.

3. The Bible is filled with instances, in both Testaments, where the people of God are tested in their obedience.
Psalm 26
4. The humble seek God’s correction in their life. The proud refuse to change when God speaks.
5. The humble also seek God’s redemption and grace. The proud act as if they don’t need God in their life.
James 1:12
Applications
1. Just as Abraham demonstrated his faith, we too must persevere and remain loyal to God during our times of testing.
2. Luckily for us, God’s tests are open book. The teachings of Jesus are what we are to study.
3. Psalm 26 should be our guide to prayer and meditation this week.
