The Bible contains some really weird teachings. It says things like “turn the other cheek;” and “if you want to be great, be a servant of all;” and “love your enemies.” And at a time when most of us are planning some sort of Thanksgiving “party” with family and friends, the words of Ecclesiastes 7:1-4 sound terribly out of place.
