My wife and I have learned the faithfulness of God through hardship and agonizing personal sacrifice. Though often wondering where God was in it all, we wrapped our dreams and hopes around Him. Itâs with incredible gratitude to that faithful God of love that I live my life, believing that God wants to love men, all men, with no strings attached.
Iâve found that thereâs a world of hurting people who just want to be loved. They just want respect, dignity, and a fair chance at life. There was a time when I was desperately looking for a reason to keep going on. Since then, I've been fortunate enough to have had a circle of Christian and non-Christian friends who have stretched my spiritual thinking and challenged my moral motives. I thank them all for never giving up on me in spite of my blunders. I say all that to note this: God wants to give His uncommon love through common men, in very common ways.
And lastly, I want to pass on a legacy of faith to others. I wrote my first book to explain the values of morality, self worth, and what God considers a blessed life, which is often far different than what we hear in Christian circles. I call it âA Legacy of Faith,â because it capsules the things I want to pass on to others, most especially, my own children.
And, I wrote my second book to express the need to love others deeply. I call it âA Love Driven Life,â and it was just released in May. You can check out my website @ rickhathawayonline.com or alovedrivenlife.com
