Hi David Church... I see where you are coming from, but if you compare this "healing" with the healings of 2000 years ago, there is a BIG difference. One of these proves that modern science / technology can do amazing wonders, and one is a complete healings of the original parts that God made us with... no batteries needed... and GOD gets the glory for the healing... and it also costs NOTHING, it has already been paid for... no insurance required... that is the beauty... Again, I think it is wonderful that this child can hear, but it is not Gods best for them... If God has provided a way for us to do these things, and He gives us this authority to do the miracles that Jesus did while He was here on earth... and then He commands us to go and heal the sick... I think we should obey... Doesn't that sound like a good idea? (Matthew 10, Luke 9, Luke 10)

Bionic ear, It doesn't always sound right. Electronics installed in the brain. OUCH and what's perfect about this? We need to understand one another not what it does for us!

Tell me, if I scientifically prove how Jesus healed someone, by telling you the molecules did this or that, does it make it any less of a miracle? Of course not. In the same way, to that child, who certainly doesn't understand the hearing aid yet, KNOWS that is a miracle. He can hear. Is it not called a miracle when someone gives food to the poor during the winter, and how thankful is that person? They praise God, because they know where that gift came from. So then even the most basic of things, food, can be a miracle. I see no separation of science (not evolutionist garbage, but science by its actual definition) and God. To address Helena's comment, my friend Erik has one of these hearing aids, looks just like that one actually. He said to me once when I asked if He wanted to be healed of his deafness, "Why? I can hear just fine. You say something, I hear it. I say something, you hear it. Why try to heal something that clearly works just fine?" I'm paraphrasing, but the core of that was still the same. He didn't feel He was cursed with deafness or unhealed. He felt just as whole as you or I feel. So consider this, who feels that this child is "not completely healed"? The boy, or someone looking at him?

This is half a miracle through the advance of technology. Thanks God for the knowledge that mankind acquired for the benefit of the unfortunate. Ever wonder why miracles such as what we read in the Gospels do not always happen nowadays? It is not due to that miracles do not take place nowadays as some unbeliever Christians proclaimed. Our faith could not move mountain any more as what Jesus said about faith.

I saw the joy of this little boy's heart light up his face as he heard his mommy's voice for the first time. Am I also seeing not only the gratitude of this little boy, but also the transparent gratitude of Christ as He gives to those who do his will. Parents, I share your joy and couldn't help but thank Christ and cry of joy!

I lost my hearing at 39 and went 13 years without anything by sonar blip type noise at very close range. Then I found out I qualified for a cochlear implant. It enabled me to get 50% of my life back and for that I praise the Lord. My children were 5, 10 and 12 when I lost my hearing and the next time I heard them they were 18, 23, 25. Jesus's way is not our way. His way is so much higher and I would never question if the CI is a gift from Him, I know it is. He is giving this child the gift of hearing and learning speech. How Great Thou Art!

Doug Craft I think we should help however we can... but when we try to do things our ways instead of how God told us how to do it, we will never experience Gods best... look at every healing that takes place in the bible... by Jesus or by any believer... They spoke the command to the person who was sick, to "be healed" or "to see" or whatever the problem was... they had Faith that God would make them whole... and then the person got better! I think that is the best way to go about helping those who have sickness. I honestly think we are afraid that nothing will happen if we command for a sick person to be made whole in the name of Jesus... and because we are afraid we end up just praying to God and saying... "if it be your will O LORD, please heal this person..." and we totally miss what God told us to actually DO. we put it all on God and if the person gets healed, it was Gods will, and if they die or something, He had a plan in the background that we couldn't understand... "THE LORD WORKS IN MYSTERIOUS WAYS" haha I think the modern church system has stripped the Power and Truth out of the Word. Read the Book of Acts and then tell me how a bunch of simple believers can turn the world upside down and why we cant even heal a deaf kid... again, im not trying to be a jerk or anything, just saying what in on my heart... Love ya guys! so Doug, when are we going to go to the range????
