The removal of religion from our children's education is a direct result of our giving up the right to educate our children to the federal and state governments. If we lived in a free society we don't need more laws we need to restore parents' responsiblitity for the education of their children.

I lived in Newtown for 21 years, and raised my family there. What happened there on Dec. 14, 2012 was EVIL. We should be outraged about the 26 innocent lives lost at SHES. The 332,278 abortions Planned Parenthood performed over the 365 days of 2009 equals an average of 910 lives terminated per day--or about 38 per hour, or one every 95 seconds. That also strikes me as EVIL. This is an example of gagging on a gnat and swallowing a camel. Why aren't we outraged about this form of evil taking innocent lives? (Gov. Cuomo should consider this if he is really passionate about saving innocent lives in New York.) Pulling one strand out of a bowl of spaghetti without disturbing all the spaghetti's is impossible. Putting "gun control" under the microscope as the solution to eliminate this kind of evil is too simplistic. The Obama utilization of innocent children to sell his anti gun agenda is as naive as the children who read from their scripts. DUKAS

We allow people to do and say whatever they want under the guidelines of the first amendment. That is why pornography is the guiding light in the lives of our young people. Now guns in the wrong hands will destroy the next generation if we don’t do something.

I work in elementary and middle schools daily as a campus enforcement officer. One day made a statement that you can see statistically the affects of taking prayer out of school and discipline. History shows us of man's carnality and slant toward sin and with a culture that has evolved that is blind leading blind we look to government who can' even balance a checkbook. If my son looks at my daughter and says I want to have sex and make babies with my sister. I am to not react but give him his right of choice with possible prosecution for saying no and meaning no. Let us look soberly of the course of our lives and judge ourselves accordingly. If we need help let's ask for it.

I couldn't agree more with Mike Huckabee. How ironic that our President Obama encourages murdering unborn children, but then uses Scripture to console those whose children were murdered after birth, as though that is a bigger tragedy. We need to be praying for our nation.

Mike Huckabee....you've said it all! I wish our United States would listen to your words. If 86% of us believe and worship God....why is the 14% stopping us from praying in schools, setting out manger scenes, saying "MERRY CHRISTMAS," saying the name of GOD and posting the 10 Commandments? Why? Why can't the 86% majority of God believers stand up and take our country back? Why?
