I would truly like to think Whitney Houston is in Heaven right now...but we really don't know the condition of her heart at the time she died. It's hard to believe a person can live a life of walking away from God & being a bad influence & still be right with God. But like I said I don't know the condition of her heart at the time she died. I think we do people left here on this earth a disservice when we make such statements. We let people believe that you can live as you please and everything will be ok. That is not what the Bible teaches. I think she had an awesome God given talent, I only wish she would have used it as a voice of glory to God. I'm not trying to be mean! I just would not want to mislead anyone, I believe in telling the truth!

Michael G Montague and Deborah Switzer as a Christian we know that God gave each of us free will to think and make choses. We can't say that Bobby messed her life up. At any point she could have turned and walked away, but she chose to stay. Who knows if she wasn't the one to influence him. At one point in our lives we all have chased after something in this world. Judgement belongs to God. RIP Whitney, hope to you see you in God's kingdom standing with the saints.

Such a huge loss to the music industry. I remember when her first album came out. I rushed to buy it because she had such power behind her voice that I had to hear it. I knew it was a gift from God although the album itself, was an R & B

Deborah, I agree with everything you said except one thing. God did not call her home. We have an enemy that lies, kills and steals. If she was born again, and there is evidence she was, she is in the Lords loving arms. God wants us to have life abundantly. By faith we appropriate it. God's grace and our faith will get it done. If we keep opening the door to the enemy, we give him access to lie to us, steal from us and even kill us! That does not mean we are not a christian. It simply means we will not experience God's best in this life.

Only the Lord Himself knows to what extent Whitney Houston loved or trusted Him. To say or suggest that she was actually striving to meet the expectations of others or own personal goals and not The Lord's expectations because she did not love Jesus enough is an overly judgmental statement . God gives the gifts and talents. God increases these as the gifts and talents are utilized in His service which includes meeting the needs of others. The Gospels are clear regarding using what we have received to meet the needs of other. That includes each of our "performances" while we live on this earth whatever our vocation or profession. The word of God teaches that we are to judge ourselves before we become judged instead of passing judgment on others.

I love the way you said that God called her, probably as an act of Mercy; and that God was not interested in her gift, her talent and her performance - but in her trusting Him....

What a beautiful voice being used to praise the Lord. I know she will be singing praises to Jesus for all eternity. She was a believer, so I know she is safely in Jesus's arms. Her earthly problems are behind her now.

What a great talent and very beautiful person, she is certanily right , Jesus loved her so much.. gave his live for her,, But it seems the lures of stardom and hollywood had its power over her.. I'll not be criticial of her life and the way she lived.. She made her choice and just perhaps it cost her life to end so soon.. Only Jesus knows the human heart.. Just perhaps she was crying out to him in her last fleeing monment.. Our Prayers and Sympathy to her family and friends,, Rest in Peace.

Bobby Brown was a very negative influence on her life. How tragically sad! I pray that she is in the arms of Jesus. Her lifestyle didn't seem to be "Christian" though. How can we say we have Christ and be ruled by demonic strongholds? Can a fountain bring forth bitter and sweet water? I'm just not convinced, but I love her voice!

Yes, Jesus loves me even though I have these seizures. He's sooooo strong He carries me when I'm weak after I have a seizure. I sing that song to myself all the time so I won't have a seizure or even if I've had a seizure. Jesu is more powerful than all these earthly doctors.
