Benjamin, you need to study the Bible a little more. God knew you before you were in the womb, he knows how many hairs are on your head. Jesus didn't find you, He was waiting for you to find him. And by the sounds of it, you did, now take it to the next level and really study the Bible so that you have a better understanding of what you're saying. Jesus didn't turn his back on anyone and neither should we, for who among us is without sin. The Church is suppose to support and find the lost lambs not make lost lambs.! If they keep turning away "sinners" they will have nothing but a full house of "self righteous" people whom God will surely take to task on judgement day. "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you". Please join a Bible Study, they are a wealth of info and they tend to open ones eyes to have a better understanding of the Word.

God Is Awesome ...& He Loves us So Much ...that He Gave the Very Best that He has ...His Only Begotten Son - that we be washed and cleansed and rise up as the Righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. Are we going to walk perfectly in our Salvation?! - NO ...Does He Know that, ...and Love us just the same?! ...you bet! HIS Word - We ARE the Righteousness of God in Christ Jesus ...and we Are Walkiing Out Our Destiny ...forgiving and being forgiven - keeping in mind that as we see others stumble ...but for the Grace of God, there go I ...He would have us to rather lend a hand, whereas anyone can point a finger. Lord God, in Jesus' Name, let us not grow weary in well doing. Thank You Lord for you know Everything About Us ...and You Love us still.

After reading your post, and its replies, I want to share something. First off, I have an exceptionally dark history that we'll suffice to summarize as having completely broken every commandment like it was a check off list. When I first gave my life to Christ, I kept screwing up, and falling down in the same areas. I had addictions that I still don't feel comfortable talking about. I agree with you at least in one area. It's not about us. We're not the main character, even in the story of our own lives! God is, and absolute, we need to keep our eyes on the actor of this movie. I was fortunate to find a church that not only was good for me, but didn't judge me, and helped me grow. When Ellen made her comment, I think the reason is because throughout your entire message, you kept saying "You need a church" and "You got to go to church". I'm sorry, but not once did Jesus say "And every Sunday you will go to a big place, with pastors and deacons, and ushers, and a choir, and a big congregation of people, with greeters and volunteers. You'll sing, listen to a sermon, sing some more, and go eat cookies. He said "Remember the Sabbath, and keep it holy." Absolutely we should spend the Sabbath in reverence to God. But it is not required to go to church, and more importantly it should never FEEL required to go. For it was said, where two or more gather IN MY NAME, there I am. Now let me temper this with the other side. Churches are not evil. Even some of the ones that can be judgemental, greedy, and let's face it, human. I received some of the greatest help from the church and I enjoy church. But if there's one thing I've found that makes more impact that taking up a seat at the 11am service, is coming together with someone who knows your problems, who you share your life with. This can be a pastor (I'm not as lucky with such a busy one), a member of the church body, a wife, a friend, etc. But the closeness to God that comes through a friendship/relationship with someone else is what is important. Yes it can be found in a church, and may even be the easiest place to find it by seven fold or more. But as the old saying goes "It's not WHAT you said, it's HOW you said it". You're on a video where more than likely the Judged will find, watch, and look at the comments. The comment you left would have left me hating the church for another 5 years. Take this from one who has been judged. I want you to succeed in what you do. So do it gently, and in love.

Say 'NO' to Condemnation.. everybody has a chance to accept Jesus as their Saviour.. :) Jesus said, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the SICK." "I desire mercy, not sacrifice. For I have not come to call the righteous, but the SINNERS." Mathew 9:12-13

Ya know, there are Christians, and then there are judgemental Christians who think just because you don't pray before each meal, or call your mom and dad " yes ma'am, yes sir" , they're going to tell there kids " hey you're not aloud to hang out with the Parker kids, they're stupid." and then their kids don't even talk to your kids anymore. I know from experience.

what is a true follower of Christ have to do with being excepted in a church acceptance is just that allowing people to come in without being judge you really did miss the point

this just what happened it's in the past and I forgave them>I showed up at a church a drug addict skinny bad teeth and a bad attitude.they let me stay but I could do anything like join the praise and worship team even after three years. They were looking for leaders for the alpha program. I thought well maybe I could do this after all had changed my life I attended bible study was all the services and I was committed. funny thing happened they pick some one else I however was allowed to be an assistant. the person they had picked had just joined our church THREE months ago (this was 8years ago ). I found out that some people in this high end church didn't like the was I looked or the was I praised God. you see I'm a worshiper. but that's done I'm in a new church where I found my wife and everyone excepts me well more ore less.

This is true, as one starts to read the word one will realize that Satan is a little punk and that you being in Christ have the victory over him and his devices. He can stand in your way only if you let him and he can defeat you. A. if you are in disobedience or B if you believe you can. That simple thank you all

This is sad, but it brings about an important part of Christianity that we have forgot. Jesus never told us to go out tell everyone that they are sinners going to hell in a hand basket etc. Jesus told us to go out and tell them that HE LOVES THEM regardless of who they are, what they are doing or have done, the color of their skin, sexual orientation etc. We have to realize that the cross was the great equalizer and that everyone and I do mean everyone was made equal at the cross and that at the cross every sin that we have done or are going to do in the future has been paid for. Now this isn't in chance to say "ahh I can go and do whatever I want and there will be no price. That is wrong and sin will soon send you a bill that you will not be able to pay but that is anther topic sorry ADD kicking in a little" People don't need to beat up with what they are doing wrong they need to see the love of Christ in us to them and to each other as for dealing with sin and convicting people of sin that is the Holy Spirit's job not ours. Have a good day. And to end a christian is no longer a sinner a christian was a sinner who was saved by grace and is now a new creation in Christ Jesus and is the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.

The most memorable part of that entire video "we need to be examples, not tell people what they have to do or should do, but show them what we do" How many of us are truly living by example?

I would add this point to the discussion; we must remember that there will be the wheat and the tares growing together until the harvest (Matt 13:30). All in the church are not saved. All coming into the church will meet up with either a "wheat" person or "tare" person. That makes all the difference in the world how the person asking for help will respond. God will never change, but we will if me want to be with Him forever.
