Elsie, The point he is making is this: we as people tend to worship created things rather than the creator. The people from the other culture he was showing were worshiping pillars of stone made by human hands. He was comparing it to our culture the way we worship man made games of sport. We, all people all cultures, put so much of our energy into worshiping other things instead of the God who created us and the world we live in. Elsie, read Jeremiah 10: 1-25 God Bless you.

Frank can you elaborate abit further on what you just posted please?

This is not about culture or discrimination, it is about who we worship.

People, don't get legalistic and turn the meaning of this video into a culture war..........the meaning is simple.... what has become an idol in your own life.....recreation, money, job, your kids....

Dang man that caught me! Wow....

I've been there myself. Praise be to Jesus for teaching, and continuing to teach me what to have my eyes on, and what not.

Eugenio Gonzalez do you not see what this video is saying? It doesn't matter if it's a pagan god or football, it it's your car or your boat. If it is more important to you than God it's an idol. We have a jealous God, and rightly so.

Wow, this is so true. I live in a town in SA that experience this sport-idolism every year, year after year. If people don't see it with their own eyes or experience it, its sometimes difficult to understand what Skit Guys are saying. A+ for you!

Thank you for doing this, revealing this in the open. It is no longer just about golden calves and things made by human hands, it's anything that takes the place of, more time invested into. Play the game of investing time with God. P.S. even our pets can be idols...WE MUST BE CAREFUL GOD IS WATCHING US.

Never use Jesus name as your under cover,I think this person who put this video about idolism has no culture so he can talk about other people. Did he really go to this country to see for himself before putting this video up????????? 98% of people in this country are christian and there are no idol worshipers there. I think this is discrimination of other peoples culture......

Enthusiasm for a sport, a team, an athlete has certainly been exhibited as 'out of context' in terms of ridiculousness and inappropriate...... but passion for Our Savior for some(it appears) ought to be 'contained' or limited to a day of the week, building, or specific holiday. Keep God of the Bible out of the mainstream of life! Doesn't our God embrace all of life, in a sense?

Anything you put before your Father in heaven is considered an idol. What ever you absorb most is what you worship. Where your mind is your heart follows.
